What the first week looks like

Make a class
Name, language, level. You get a six character code with no vowels in it, so nothing turns into a word by accident.

Hand out the code
Students make an account and type it in. No rostering integration required, no spreadsheet of logins to distribute.

Set one assignment
Pick a deck, set a target and a due date. Progress fills in from real card states, so nobody can click their way to a hundred percent.

Held, learning, leeches, reviews this week, accuracy, streak, last seen. Two minutes and you know who to talk to.

The words the class is losing, worst first. Write one class hook for the top three and watch them drop off the list.

Completion versus mastery
What a completion report says
Ana finished the lesson and scored eighty five percent. You now know Ana was present. You do not know whether she will have any of it in March, or which parts the rest of the class quietly failed.
What a mastery report says
Eighty eight words held, twelve in learning, one leech. Two hundred and ten reviews this week at ninety one percent. And across the class, these are the twelve words being forgotten most often, ranked.
Teacher questions
Do students need to pay?
No. Students in your class are covered by your licence for as long as the licence runs, and they never see a payment screen.
What happens at the end of the year?
The student keeps the account, the vocabulary and the schedule. If they come back to you at a higher level next year, or go to a different teacher, none of it resets.
Can I use my own word lists?
Yes. Import a CSV with a term column and as many of gloss, part of speech, gender, topic, level and example as you have. Then build decks from it and assign them.
Is there a Google Classroom integration?
Not yet, and I would rather say so than list it. Classes work through join codes today. If rostering is a requirement for your district, say so on the quote form and it will move up the roadmap.
How much class time does it need?
Ten minutes at the start of a lesson covers a normal daily load. It is designed to be homework that actually gets done rather than something that eats the period.
Can I see what a student sees?
Yes. A teacher account is also a learner account, so you can study the same decks you assign, which is also the fastest way to find a bad hook before your class does.
